I am a fully qualified and accredited Counsellor and Psychotherapist working in Private Practice in Greystones, Co Wicklow. I did my initial training, a Certificate in Counselling Skills, with NUI Maynooth (2004-2005). I completed my core training, a Graduate Diploma in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy (DICP), with the Turning Point Training Institute, Dún Laoghaire (2005-2008). This qualification is awarded by Dublin City University (DCU).
I am a fully accredited member of both the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP) and the Irish Association of Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy (IAHIP) and adhere to their strict code of ethics and practice. I am insured for both public and professional indemnity and am garda vetted.
I work with adults from 18 onwards, I do not provide couples counselling. I see clients four mornings per week – Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. I am not available for evening and weekend sessions.
I completed a one-year placement working as a psychotherapist in the Psychotherapy Centre in St Vincent’s Psychiatric Hospital, Fairview (2007-2008) and volunteered as a counsellor in the low-cost Living Life Centre in Bray, Co Wicklow for five years (2008-2013).
My core training is Humanistic but through my integrative training I have also studied, and include in my practice, the most widely used therapy frameworks today including:
